Again it has been several days, and I have been lucky that they have all had great weather and no problems. The highlight was heading out on the South Shore Line commuter train to Chesterton, Indiana with Libby. We went out to see the lady who is pastor at the church we went to our last year at Valpo, as well as her husband. It was so great to reconnect. We just sat in their living room and talked over coffee, Subway, and Oreos for about 5 hours.
Yesterday was a wonderfully relaxing day. Jon and I had no real plans, so we got coffee and then went to the Lincoln Park Zoo for several hours. Since we had no where to go until our friend Jason finished with work, we also sat in the park for several hours playing chess and throwing the frisbee. The city have been dealing with a ton of humidity the past few days, so sitting in the shade was a great way to spend the late afternoon.
Today all of my friends come in, so I'll be heading out to the suburbs for a BBQ. It is going to be great to see everyone again. I also have a wedding tomorrow in Valpo and then a day at the Indiana Dunes Lakeshore planned for Sunday with everyone. May be a few days (again) before the next post.
